| HOW TO TIE AN EMBRACE | |
| STEP 1 | |
On a flat surface, place one tassel facing left and the other tassel facing right, with the between these two tassels make two loops, these will end up being the embrace of your tie-back. The length of cord attached to the left tassel and the cord of the two loops should be short, the cord attached to the right tassel needs to be long so we can make the knot. |
| STEP 2 | |
| Wrap the right tassel around the embrace loops wrapping towards the left tassel three times. Make these loops loose. (Pix 2) | |
| STEP 3 | |
Pass the right tassel through these newly made loops from left to right. You now have the right tassel with about 10-15cm of the cord on the right, leaving the remainder of the cord on the left side of these loose loops. (Pix 3) |
| STEP 4 | |
Now tighten these loose loops starting with the left loose loop wrapping in the opposite direction as you originally did in step 2. Wrapping will go from left to right. |
| STEP 5 | |
| Finally you are left with the slack from these loops on the right side. Pull one of the cords of the embrace on the left, not the entire embrace, only pull one of these cords as the other cord of this left embrace shall pull on the right embrace. This shall pull in the slack created in step 4. Then pull on the right embrace to even out the left embrace loop and the tassel. | |
| FINAL | |
| Time to use your Tie-Back to embrace the curtains, or place it over the back of a chair to decorate your room. | |
There are variations to this knot. |
| DECORATING TIP: If make both the embrace lengths are equal, the tassels shall hang directly to the side of your curtains. | |
| Make the embrace that is behind the curtain slightly longer than the embrace on the front of the curtain. | |
| The tassels shall sit more to the front edge of the curtain giving your curtains a much calmer feel. | |
