This is the world's finest quality lacquer-ware, produced by weaving horse-hair around a reed frame. These cups were made over a period of several months, and progressive lacquer coatings applied by hand, slowly dried underground, and finally buffed to a matte finish. The result is both strong and flexible. Although the lacquer remains sufficiently supple, please handle carefully to prevent any cracking or breaking. Extreme hot and cold beverages are not recommended.
